Liners
Liners
Water storage liners are your collection unit’s first and last line of defence against rust, unidentified leakages, contamination, and in some cases, structural malfunction.
Weakened, old or neglected tank and pond liners begin to tear, some even creating pin- sized holes as they fracture, allowing water to contact surfaces or the ground underneath.
Raven Engineering Group supplies PVC, HDPE, Butyl Rubber and specialised, custom- made geo-fabrics for a variety of commercial and industrial uses.
Read on to learn more about tank and pond liner materials and why a simple restoration
project could salvage your existing water tank.
Liner Installation & Replacement Services
REG installs liner solutions to a range of water storage systems including:
- Panel Tanks – Commercial and industrial galvanised steel, stainless steel and GRP tanks.
- Outdoor Concrete Tanks – Butyl rubber liners serve as an extra-strong underlay material to reinforce existing crack leaks.
- Ponds & Dams – High-density Polyethylene (HDPE) geomembranes for superior ground and UV protection.
- Bunds & Secondary Containment Systems – Liners for spill containment around tanks or other commercial water collection bund systems.
Raven Engineering Group Liner Benefits
Both prevention and resolution components – Our liner products feature a range of materials suitable for various applications. Let us recommend the most appropriate fabric type for your needs!
No new tanks necessary – A new liner will stop existing seepage while helping avoid corrosion penetration.
Multi-purpose and universal – Fixes minor leaks and protects tank surfaces of both early and new-model tank systems and types.
Custom-made in Australia – Need a liner modified for an unconventionally-shaped tank? Running an oversized rural water pond? We’ve got it covered.
Ask us about international product shipping or contact one of our overseas headquarters for a local consultation!
Pond and dam installations done onsite – Rolled liner sheeting is easily transported to remote locations, unravelled and fitted directly in a single day.
Australian standard compliant – All liner products are certified to comply with AS/NZS 4020.

What Happens If I Don’t Replace My Liner?
Industrial strength liners are key to maintaining decent tank or pond reserve health. Liners come in all types of materials, with certain applications requiring different grades, strengthsand fabrics to secure their contents correctly.
While pumping mechanisms, hoses, water pressure and everything else involving the
water’s distribution may seem safe and fully functional, a closer look at the exterior might demonstrate otherwise.
Consequences of failing to replace or update an old liner include:
- Water resource contamination – Bacterial from surface corrosion mixes into the water supply. Hairline cracks or other leaks worsen.
- Minor pond or dam liner damage magnifies – Moving or growing debris including sticks, rocks and roots scratch and tear deteriorating liners.
- MIC acceleration – Microbial Influence Corrosion forms and grows in stagnant water supplies. Steel tanks provide ideal conditions for MIC growth.
- Dam water contamination – Livestock may frequently stand on dam liners to drink rainwater reserves. Damage may go unnoticed with gravel, mud or other contaminants possibly seeping through submerged, invisible holes.
- Total tank failure – Corrosion advances to catastrophic, irreparable levels where structures collapse and cause major flooding, property damage or personal injury.
